HVAC lead-response checklist

Review the public path a homeowner sees before spending money on another ad campaign. Use the first five sections for a no-contact website review; use section six only inside your own business or under exact written authorization.

No email gate. No form submission. No revenue guarantee.

How to use it

Mark each item clear, unclear, or not applicable. Save the page as a PDF, assign an owner to every unclear item, and keep internal performance conclusions separate from public-page observations.

01

Public identity and service area

  • Company name, phone, email, hours, and service area agree across the header, footer, contact page, and major location pages.
  • License, emergency-service, financing, and response-time statements are current and linked to the correct next step.
  • A homeowner can tell whether the company serves their city before submitting information.
02

Phone and mobile path

  • Every visible phone number is clickable on mobile and dials the same number displayed on screen.
  • Routine, emergency, sales, and after-hours instructions do not compete or contradict one another.
  • The primary call action remains easy to find without dismissing several overlays or scrolling through unrelated offers.
03

Web form and confirmation

  • The form asks for enough information to assign the request without collecting unnecessary details.
  • Service type, location, urgency, and preferred timing are available when they affect routing.
  • The page explains what happens after submission and when an urgent customer should call instead.
04

Email, text, chat, and booking

  • Published email links open the exact address shown on the page.
  • Text, chat, scheduling, financing, and portal links reach a real destination instead of a placeholder or unrelated page.
  • The customer is not asked to repeat the same information across several competing entry paths.
05

After-hours promise

  • Public hours and 24/7 language are consistent across contact, service, location, and profile pages.
  • The page distinguishes emergency calls from forms or emails that may wait until business hours.
  • Coupons, seasonal offers, staff names, and dated announcements have not expired or become misleading.
06

Internal ownership — verify only with permission

  • A named owner is responsible for each authorized phone, form, email, chat, and booking path.
  • Notifications, acknowledgments, escalation rules, and business-hours coverage are documented.
  • Any handling test names the client-owned channel, consenting participant, disclosed identity, time window, and evidence-retention rule in writing.

Need an evidence file?

Turn the unclear items into an owned recovery plan.

The $750 founding diagnostic documents public paths, labels the evidence boundary, and tests one controlled handling path only after payment, a signed scope, and the participant's written consent.
